Exhibition in homage to the Havana Biennial opens at the International Press Centre

The exhibition Posters in Dialogue: New Narratives (Images for a History of the Havana Biennial), dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Havana Biennial and the 15 designs that have accompanied the event, was inaugurated this Saturday at the Havana International Press Centre.

Curated by illustrator Alex Martínez and the Biennial’s president, Nelson Ramírez, the collective exhibition invites critical reflection and artistic innovation through the reinterpretation of the posters that, since 1984, have given prestige to this important event in the visual arts.

The president of the Biennial pointed out that this is one of the tributes to the art event, whose protagonists are a representation of the most striking posters created by young artists over the years.

The 15th Havana Biennial, which began on 15 November and will run until 28 February, showcases the contemporary art that distinguishes us, displayed for the public to see in spaces such as the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, the Estación Cultural de Línea y 18, the Biblioteca Nacional José Martí and Havana’s emblematic Malecón.
