The Cuban Telecommunications Company S.A. (Etecsa) today reported a failure in mobile network systems, affecting voice and data services in some numbers.
The message, published on Etecsa’s social networks, states that work is underway to diagnose the problem and provide a solution.
Etecsa also recommends that during the current interruption, customers refrain from activating aeroplane mode on their mobile phones, because, «on this occasion, it will cause more damage to their mobile data service».
The company, which operates landline, mobile and data services in Cuba, advises customers to stay tuned to its official channels.
