Faced with the epidemiological panorama presented by the province, workers from Municipal Services in Ciego de Ávila are working on the collection of solid waste, the elimination of micro-landfills, and the cleaning of green areas to achieve environmental hygiene in the different popular councils of the territory.
Inaudys Crespo Morales, director of Municipal Services in the head municipality, communicated that equipment (both trucks and loaders) are being leased from different companies to maintain sanitation cycles and clean all the demarcations of the territory within the week.
He explained that with the arrival of the rains, the clearing and cleaning of green areas intensifies.
In this sense, the manager called on the different mass organisations, the CDR, and the FMC to provide support in these tasks, as the lack of workers prevents reaching all areas within the established time to prevent overgrowth.
He specified that among the strategies drawn up by the government and the party in the province is the change of labour carried out each week by the organisations, actions which add to the sanitisation of the different areas of the Avilanian capital.
Crespo Morales emphasised that the province and the country are currently experiencing the presence of arboviruses, which is why environmental hygiene requires everyone’s effort.
