The scientific result Use of ozone therapy in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular diseases, by Dr. Luis Antonio Rodriguez Sanchez, obtained the Provincial Award of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, ACC, in Ciego de Ávila.

The result, obtained as a result of four years of research at the Roberto Rodríguez General Teaching Hospital, in the city of Moron, consists in the application of ozone therapy in patients discharged from cerebrovascular diseases, commented its author.

He also pointed out that it was demonstrated through patient follow-up and periodic evaluations that after the application of the treatment and compliance with the established protocol, the patients showed improvements in their clinical aspect and functional status.

The also master in medical emergencies, full professor, president of the Scientific Council and postgraduate methodologist of the hospital center, throughout the exercise of his fruitful profession, has obtained, among other awards, five other provincial prizes from the ACC, and two annual health prizes at the same level.
