Disruptions to the Electrical Service for Today, Monday

An availability of 1445 MW and a maximum demand of 3400 MW are forecast, for a deficit of 1955 MW, therefore if the forecast conditions are maintained, a disruption of 1985 MW is predicted during this period.

Yesterday, the service was disrupted for 24 hours. The maximum disruption due to generation capacity deficit yesterday was 1950 MW at 18:20 hours.

The energy production from the 33 new solar photovoltaic parks was 2378 MWh, with 462 MW as the maximum power delivered during the midday period from this generation source.

Current State of the SEN

The availability of the SEN at 06:00 hours is 1420 MW and the demand is 2350 MW with 950 MW disrupted due to capacity deficit. During the midday period, a disruption of 1100 MW is estimated.

Principal Incidents

Breakdown: Unit 5 of the Maximo Gomez TPP, Unit 5 of the Nuevitas TPP, and Unit 2 of the Felton TPP.

Maintenance: Unit 6 of the Mariel TPP, Units 2 and 3 of the Santa Cruz TPP, Unit 4 of the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes TPP in Cienfuegos.

Limitations in thermoelectric generation: 475 MW out of service.

Problems due to lack of fuel

100 distributed generation plants with 909 MW.

87 MW unavailable due to lack of lubricant.

Total MW affected by this cause: 996 MW.

Forecast for the Peak Period

For the peak, the integration of 3 engines on the Melones barge with 25 MW is estimated.

With this forecast, an availability of 1445 MW and a maximum demand of 3400 MW are expected, for a deficit of 1955 MW, therefore if the forecast conditions are maintained, a disruption of 1985 MW is predicted during this period.
