With the presence of Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, an event reaffirming the island’s solidarity with the people of Palestine is taking place at the José Martí Anti-Imperialist Platform, attended by more than 100 thousand Havanans.

Two years after the most recent escalation and consequent genocide perpetrated by the State of Israel, Cuba demands an immediate ceasefire and condemns the complicity of US imperialism with the criminal policy of the Zionist forces.

In this way, Cuba once again condemns the criminal conduct of the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinians; an issue that moves the world and was made clear in the interventions of several Heads of State and high representatives at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The largest of the Antilles maintains its firm stance in favour of a comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on the creation of two States, which would allow the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and to have an independent and sovereign State within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
