With the delivery of a floral offering to José Martí in the central park that bears his name, the Provincial Day for Cuban Press Day began this Wednesday in Ciego de Ávila.

Workers, technicians and professionals from all the media gathered in said public square, including guests from cultural institutions, all chaired by Lieutenant Governor Ania Rosa Francisco Malde and Nexy Veliz Naranjo, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party in Ciego de Ávila.

The beginning of the Provincial Day for the Cuban Press Day in Ciego de Ávila included the talents of master Juan Carlos Corcho Vergara with his project Música Abierta, as well as cartoonist Osvaldo Gutiérrez Gómez (Osval) with the inauguration of an exhibition at the Press House.

The «Awarded Humor» exhibition exhibits to the public a dozen of his works, all of them awarded over the last decade in important national and international competitions in the most dissimilar categories ranging from political to general humor.
