Cuban Foreign Minister Denounces US Corrupt Conduct

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, denounced today the corrupt US conduct to pressure allies and reduce support in the United Nations for the resolution against the blockade.

The Cuban Foreign Minister, on the social network X, stated, «US State Department, following the corrupt agenda of its Secretary, lobbies with lies and pressures allies to reduce support for the #UNGA resolution vs blockade on #Cuba.»

In the same publication, the island’s foreign affairs head referred to the objectives of such conduct, «It attempts to deceive the international community and hide the serious damages it causes to Cuban families.»

The United Nations General Assembly is scheduled for the 28th and 29th of October to comply with its resolution 79/7 when Cuba presents the update on the «Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.»

The report corresponding to the period March 2024 – February 2025, made public recently in Havana, records that in that time the blockade caused material damages and losses to Cuba estimated to be in the order of seven thousand 556.1 million dollars.

Meanwhile, this hostile policy of more than six decades of blockade, now intensified, reports accumulated historical damages which, at current prices, amount to 170 thousand 677 million dollars. Meanwhile, at the value of gold, they are equivalent to two trillion 103 thousand million dollars.
