During the XLI Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2025), Cuba will promote projects and prioritised sectors for its economic and social development, which foster exports and could attract greater foreign investment.
The main commercial event in the country and the region will take place from 24 to 29 November at the Expocuba venue, where, as a novel feature, five thematic areas will be exhibited, according to the Organising Committee.
One of them is called Made in Cuba, featuring the exhibition of 40 national export products and services, originating from the territories and from the designated export hubs, while there will be a competition for its participants.
There is also the one dedicated to the Energy Transition, in which the development of renewable energies in the country, and the perspectives and potential for energy transformation, will be shown to economic actors and foreign companies.
Another thematic area will refer to Artificial Intelligence, where the main technological applications developed in various sectors, as well as successful cases employing AI, will be displayed interactively.
The FIHAV 2025 Integration Mechanisms Forum, another of the novelties, will be dedicated to various schemes in which the largest of the Antilles participates, and will therefore showcase projects and sectors with potential in its member nations.
These are ALBA-TCP, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), BRICS, and the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI).
A fifth thematic area at FIHAV 2025 will be Unique Cuba, with a comprehensive promotion of the tourism sector featuring innovative projects in the different business modalities, which enhance the export of services.
At a press conference in this capital, Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, Vice Prime Minister and head of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, reported that to date, representatives from 47 countries and the European Union have confirmed their presence at the important trade fair.
