The Leones del Caribe squad was made official by the Cuban Football Association (AFC), with the players selected to try to qualify for the upcoming World Cup.
Yunielis Castillo, the technical director of the national team confirmed the following players:
Goalkeepers: Raiko Arozarena, Ismel Morgado and Yurdy Hodelín.
Defenders: Carlos Vázquez, Karel Espino, Ricardo Polo, Elvis Casanova, Karel Pérez, Dariel Morejón, Yuri Pérez and Orlando Calvo.
Midfielders: Dayron Reyes, Leandro Mena, Eduardo Hernández, Rey Ángel Rodríguez, Romario Torrez and Marcos Campos.
Forwards: Yasnier Matos, Luis Javier Paradela, Maikel Reyes, Daniel Quiala, William Pozo and Reydel Sánchez.
Since March of this year, the qualifying matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup began for the CONCACAF Member Associations, to which our country belongs.
Cuba is in group A along with Honduras, Antigua and Barbuda, Bermuda and Cayman Islands (Written by Diego Noy).
