The Cuban Workers’ Centre conveyed congratulations to members of the National Union of Civil Defence Workers on celebrating their day this Friday, standing firm in that trench of the Revolution.

Osnay Colina Rodríguez, president of the Organising Committee for the 22nd Workers’ Congress, congratulated the aforementioned Union on celebrating its 54th anniversary this 19 September, whilst fulfilling its important mission.

The member of the Central Committee of the Party also highlighted how this organisation, which brings together civilian workers of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the Ministry of the Interior, successfully concluded the organisational process prior to its III National Conference.

Special recognition was also given to sector members who received the Emilio Bárcenas Pier distinction, awarded for an outstanding work, social, political, and revolutionary record, in addition to an exemplary attitude consistent with revolutionary, ethical, and social principles.
