The 59th edition of the National Fire, Physical and Nautical Safety and Protection System Conference is being held in the municipality of Morón, in the municipality of Avileña, and its activities will continue until Sunday 18 May.

During the day, visits to communities, events with children and young people from the neighbourhood and schools, competitions, exhibitions and street plans are planned, in coordination with the José Martí Pioneers Organisation, the Federation of Secondary School Students and others.

Omelio Carvajal, member of the Municipal Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba in Morón, emphasised the importance of the work aimed at raising public awareness in order to contribute to prevention and to preserve individual and collective assets.
