Coordinated forces of the National Revolutionary Police in Ciego de Ávila and the Provincial Inspection Group, carried out an operation this Tuesday on the sale of rice to the population.

The team toured areas adjacent to José María Agramonte and Joaquín de Agüero streets in the Avilanian territory, where containers with double bottoms to steal from the people were detected.

During the operation, the established fines were applied and the obligation of the forced sale of 400 pounds of said product to the population, with a value of 155 pesos.

In this sense, Carmen Pérez Rodríguez, 75 years of age, who was at the place, assured that it is of utmost importance that the confrontation of violations of the norms governing the policy of prices and tariffs acquires systematic measures which the Avilanian people appreciate.

The control is called upon to potentiate the confrontation of abusive and speculative prices, with an increase in the severity of disciplinary measures against the violators.
