A colloquium will be held in Morón on 21 March to celebrate International Poetry Day, with the participation of the José Ángel Buesa Club, a representation of students and invited guests, lovers of this important literary genre.

The activity will take place, as on other occasions, in Sitio Viejo, where there is a tombstone that identifies the founding place of the current city of Morón.

The José Ángel Buesa Poetry Club was created in October 1996, and since then has contributed to the promotion of poetic expression in the territory, through meetings and workshops, where the works of outstanding writers are analysed and the creations of local figures are stimulated.

Abilio Darías, President of the Club, recalled that 21 March was instituted as International Poetry Day during the 30th General Conference of UNESCO, held in Paris in 1999, with the aim of supporting linguistic diversity, through poetic expression. (Author: Leonel Iparraguirre González)
