The process for serial manufacturing of compensation tanks for solar heaters using high-density polyethylene opens new horizons in the country for commissioning many such units, most exposed to adverse weather conditions in Cuban tourist destinations.

The Avilanian company Ciegoplast has undertaken this new project, which will initially produce the first 36 devices, aiming to prepare approximately 150 systems for Ciego de Ávila province.

Expanding on technical details, mechanical engineer Arcelio Pérez Guevara, specialist at Alastor (boiler company) – the entity responsible for assembling the new equipment – explained that manufacturing these add-ons will enable the incorporation of higher-performance components while replacing others that have operated outdoors for many years.

Sergio Barrios García, General Director of Ciegoplast, informed Granma that his entity’s specialists are equipped to manufacture these elements and increase production volumes, possessing both the technical capacity and raw materials to meet national demand.

Those manufactured by Ciegoplast have a lifespan exceeding 50 years, even when exposed to adverse atmospheric conditions.
