«Plant biotechnology and the challenges for food and environmental sustainability» is the slogan of the Bioveg 2025 Congress organised by the Centro de Bioplantas de Ciego de Ávila (Bioplants Centre of Ciego de Ávila).

This scientific event will hold its thirteenth edition from 13 to 17 October at the Meliá Costa Rey Hotel in Cayo Coco, in the Jardines del Rey tourist resort.

Papers on agricultural and biotechnological topics will be accepted in Spanish and English on research into the genetic improvement of foods from the land.

The Bioplants Centre in the capital city of Avila continues in its three decades of existence, promoting its principle of Sowing Science, to achieve the food sovereignty that the country needs.
