Dawn breaks in Ciego de Ávila and the morning tasks in function of the exercise continue. The early hours have been busy for those who watch over citizen tranquillity, do not permit acts of corruption and even less so illegalities and social indiscipline.

Julio Gómez Casanova and Alfre Menéndez Pérez, Party Secretary in the province and Governor respectively, are not getting sleep but are fulfilling, along with other comrades, the responsibility of touring the province’s roads and workplaces.

Among the principal actions, on this occasion we mention: mobilisation of the CDR Vigilance Detachments, specification of the workers’ guard, the actions of the peasant patrols and the Looking Towards the Sea Detachments.

The province is alert, and not just for seven days’ work. The continuity of the exercise is provided by the confrontation throughout the year, but core aspects are specified during these sessions, it is like a watershed moment.
