The four corners of the head municipality of Chambas served as the stage for a cantata, as a show of unconditional support for the sister Republic of Venezuela and the commitment to contribute to the just cause of President Maduro’s government.
During the activity, in this land of festive and patriotic traditions, local artists offered their art in response to the call from the Leadership of the Revolution, to strengthen solidarity with the Bolivarian people.
Present at the event were members of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba in the territory, of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, representatives of mass organisations, work and student collectives, and residents, all presided over by Yenny Carvajal Jiménez, first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Party in the north-western Avilanian region.
Previously, the people of Chambas, as in all of Cuba, signed the books of support for the declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: It is Urgent to Prevent a Military Aggression Against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as part of a process that included spaces of solidarity in organisations, institutions, and neighbourhoods of the municipality.
Collaborators from the Health and Education sectors, who for some time provided their services in Venezuela, narrated their experiences, which contributed to solidifying the feelings of brotherhood, sown by Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez, leaders not only of their respective countries, but also of an entire continent.
