The implementation of measures to promote the advancement of the bankarisation process in the municipality of Primero de Enero in Avileña is a priority for the local authorities.

Diamara Mundiel Sotolongo, director of the Banco Popular de Ahorro in the locality, said that to this end, training is being given to economic actors and control measures are being implemented to prevent evasion of the use of payment gateways by vendors.

The official added that work is also progressing to implement the payment of salaries to workers by means of magnetic cards, so that the use of the QR code is urgently needed for all services and purchases.

She reminded that this does not mean that cash will disappear, as there is still a population group that does not have the necessary technology, but the aim is to ensure that a greater percentage of transactions are carried out through digital channels. (By: Ánika Quiñones Darzos)
