In addition to her sphygmomanometer and stethoscope to take the daily pulse, she has the gift of discernment and is once again a delegate to the Workers’ Congress for the municipality of Ciro Redondo.

She has the mission of taking the pulse of task compliance, again as a delegate to the final sessions of the great gathering of the Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC). She also participated in the 21st edition held in April 2019.

She considers that «it is not about beating strongly at the time of the Congress, but about a constant palpitation of trade union functioning and defending the Homeland from the workplace with unity and conscious participation from everyone.»

She understands that the gathering, on 26 and 27 of this month, «will have repercussions amidst the complexities of a labour scenario besieged by the economic blockade, resource scarcity and the loss of wage value against high prices, but I trust that deep debates will take place on how to undertake actions to move forward in the effort to correct distortions and boost the economy.»

In addition to her sphygmomanometer and stethoscope to take the daily pulse, she has the gift of discernment: She led the actions as general secretary for the Municipal Committee of the CTC in Ciro Redondo to achieve first place in the provincial emulation in 2025, a comprehensive management that contributed to the Avilanian territory winning the hosting of the national activities for the 87th anniversary of the workers’ organisation, celebrated last January.

The Master of Science was a protagonist in the crusade against the Covid-19 pandemic as the highest representative of the Municipal Health Workers’ Union; she carried out outstanding community work at the head of the Family Doctor’s Office in Guanito, the blood donation programme, food production in the neighbourhood, and other tasks as coordinator of zone number 10 of the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution, declared a National Vanguard grassroots organisation, and her solidarity multiplied as coordinator of the Miracle Mission in several states of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

She comments that she feels proud to be a health professional and of her contribution to the trade union movement, the latter responsibility she carries out with the will that «the 22nd Workers’ Congress will show local positive experiences and allow us to draw up concrete strategies that raise the quality of life of workers, strengthen the work of the CTC and the Trade Unions, and reaffirm the certainty that the Homeland is defended.»
