Ciego de Ávila becomes a party and joy to celebrate, in style, the 61st anniversary of the Union of Young Communists and the 62nd of the José Martí Pioneers Organization, this April 4.
Nailyn Machado Álvarez, first secretary of the UJC in the province, said that this year the celebration pays homage to the 95th birthday of Ernesto Che Guevara, which is why the central act for the youth anniversary will be held at the Yeas Yeast factory, Alfredo R. Pérez, of Ciro Redondo, founded in 1965 at the proposal of the Heroic Guerrilla member.
Machado Álvarez added that as part of the festivities they have also developed intergenerational meetings, productive work, visits to historical sites and sports, cultural and recreational activities in the communities of the 10 Avilanian municipalities.
As a culmination of the activities for April 4 in the province of Ciego de Ávila, the XX Edition of the Piña Colada Fusion Music Festival will close the curtain, which since March 29 has been taking place in different venues throughout the territory.
