The Ciego de Ávila team secured silver medals at the National U15 Women’s Football Championship held over several days in the Hero City.
The Avilanian squad, composed entirely of players and technical staff from the City of the Rooster, achieved 3 victories and 2 draws in the competition’s final phase without suffering any defeats.
In the final round, Havana defeated Santiago de Cuba 5-2 to claim the title, while Ciego de Ávila beat Cienfuegos 1-0, and Artemisa achieved the same score against Villa Clara.
The tournament standings saw Havana top with 13 points, Ciego de Ávila second with 11 points, and Artemisa third with 7 points to complete the podium. Santiago de Cuba placed fourth with 6 points, Cienfuegos fifth with 4 points, and Villa Clara finished last without any points.
