The debate space «A la zurda» of the Union of Cuban Journalists in Ciego de Ávila (UPEC) dedicated its August reflection to the validity of the political, military and humanist leadership of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, in times of crisis .
Fidel’s work and example constitute a dialectical lesson, since his legacy teaches us how to interpret the demands of the context, beyond its logical limitations and concrete circumstances.
Neilán Vera Rodríguez, journalist for the Cuban News Agency (ACN) and vice president of the Martí Youth Movement in Ciego de Ávila, emphasized the importance of the debate so that the youngest generations can learn creatively from History in its complex course.
The supporters club dedicated to Fidel was attended by journalists, social communicators, historians, combatants of the Cuban Revolution, district delegates, the warriors of La Trocha and young people from secondary and higher education, as well as from the Martí Youth Movement in Ciego de Ávila.
The debate space «A la zurda» plans to extend its monthly reflections and controversies to other public spaces such as neighborhoods, communities, cultural institutions and historical places in the country.
