Dr. Lieday Mercedes Obregón Hernández, a doctor from Ciego de Avila, specialist in
Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, is taking part in the International Symposium
POCUSHAVANA 2024 which ends today at the Hotel Nacional in Havana.

This is a scientific event with foreign participation, convened by the University of Medical Sciences of Havana, in collaboration with the Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania, for professionals linked to research in the field of health.

Among the works presented is the one entitled «Effectiveness of the
of the optic nerve sheath ultrasound in the diagnosis of intracaneal hypertension», in the modality of studies of diagnostic means, defended by Dr. Obregón Hernández and carried out in collaboration with her counterpart Michel Salinas Batista, both of whom work in the Hospital Antonio Iraola Provincial Hospital in the capital city of Ciego de Avila.

The medical professionals of Ciego de Avila are in a constant process of improvement which results in a more effective healthcare work for the benefit of the population.
