The plenary of the industrial workers’ union became an act of patriotic reaffirmation and unwavering support for peace and national sovereignty.

The collectives of Proalum, Gases Industriales and the Raw Material Recovery Company received the «May with Fidel» commemorative plaque.

This recognition, established by the National Secretariat of the Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC), distinguishes those collectives that meet the eleven requirements set for achieving this distinction.

The presentation of the plaque, framed within the celebrations for May Day — International Workers’ Day — became a moment of exaltation of the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, as well as of the workers’ commitment to the defence of independence and the popular will to build a future without external interference.

The workers of the three entities, located in the province of Ciego de Ávila, have demonstrated through their productive performance, discipline, spirit of sacrifice and internal cohesion that they deserve a distinction that goes beyond the workplace.

This also recognises their work in shaping revolutionary values and their active contribution to the country’s stability and self-determination.

With this distinction, the CTC and the Cuban trade union movement continue to stimulate emulation and exemplariness, reinforcing the message that the nation’s strength lies in the unity of its working people, faithful to the principles of peace, social justice and sovereignty inherited from the Commander-in-Chief.
