At Least One Hundred Deceased in Venezuela Following US Attack

The Venezuelan Minister for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, informed this Wednesday that at least 100 people died during the United States military aggression in Venezuela, which ended with the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

Cabello condemned that the attacks by US military forces affected infrastructure related to the educational and health sectors, such as the Mathematics Centre of the Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Investigations or a warehouse storing insulin.

Furthermore, he refuted the occurrence of demonstrations in support of the US and affirmed that Washington’s actions have only awakened a «great anti-US sentiment», not only in Venezuela, but also throughout the world, highlighting the multiple signals of solidarity that Venezuela, Maduro and the Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, have received.

Likewise, Cabello indicated that the Venezuelan authorities will continue fighting for Maduro to be returned to the country, while reiterating that the purpose of the US head of state, Donald Trump, is to seize Venezuelan oil.
