Just days away from celebrating its 39th anniversary next 18 October, the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) updated the press on its schedule of activities, which will reach educational centres, neighbourhoods, and communities with the best of young art.
According to the national president of the AHS, Yasel Toledo Garnache, speaking on Tuesday at a meeting held at the La Pérgola of the Pabellón Cuba, activities for the occasion began on 22 August, and there is still much to enjoy.
He mentioned that the moment for the presentation of the Maestro de Juventudes Awards next 22 October will be significant, as well as the awarding of the Member of Honour of the AHS Condition and the Replica of the Monument to the Hermanos Saíz.
He also highlighted among the novelties the presentation — for the first time — of the Alma AHS condition to people who maintain affection, respect, and support for the young artistic vanguard, and the reactivation of the AHS cell at the University of the Arts (ISA).
Several are the audiovisual projects that form part of this anniversary, such as, for example, the recording of dramatisations with stories by AHS writers by the Radio Arte production company, and the presentation of television programmes like Proyecto En Mano and Mirada AHS, commented Toledo Garnache.
Likewise, he highlighted that, with the purpose of being eternally young like a large family that renews itself constantly, and faithful to its spirit beyond art, the AHS has received new proposals from young people for the growth of the organisation; and, soon, the new members will be welcomed, with the presentation of the membership card.
He also recalled that the admission deadline for works aspiring to the creation prizes and grants will be until next 31 October, and announced the premiere on digital and television platforms of the concert offered in August at the National Museum of Fine Arts, as well as an audiovisual material — documentary — in the context of the Fiesta de la Cubanía to be celebrated in Bayamo.
As part of the most important actions of the schedule for the 39th anniversary, he said, the National Council will take place between the 28th and 31st of this month in the capital; without forgetting the usual spaces both in the Pabellón Cuba itself — the national headquarters of the organisation — and in La Madriguera, concluded the president.
