The acts for the 70th Anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks took place on Saturday in the demarcations of the Popular Councils of Orlando González and Limones Palmero in the municipality of Majagua.
In the case of the one corresponding to the old Algodones sugar mill, it was developed on the square of the aforementioned town presided over by the member of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in this territory Misleydi Abad Modey and the president of the Government Body and deputy to the Cuban parliament Humberto Fleitas Portal, among other leaders.
Alba González Massip, director of the Doña Emilia González Echemendía Pre-University Institute, in the central words highlighted the historical significance of the morning of Santa Ana in Santiago de Cuba and Bayamo and its current results in sectors such as education, health, science, sports and culture, among others.
The ranchón of the southern town was the site chosen for the town meeting in which the validity of the Moncada program was also highlighted and in his intervention the resident of the town Osvaldo Pérez Guerra listed a group of actions dedicated to the important event.
Both acts had the support of Acopio for the realization of agricultural fairs. In the case of Orlando González, the dance partner of Daniela and Jorge Luis together with the Cuba Son sextet, entertained the meeting; while, in Limones Palmero, the decimistas Erundino Aquino and Anecio Carmenate did it.
