With the presentation of the objectives and actions aimed at elevating preparation in the protection of territorial integrity, National Defence Day began in the Avilanian municipality of Morón.

At the activity the President of the Municipal Defence Council, Alberto Echemendia Manzanares, explained the characteristics of the territory, the tasks in completing the structures and the fundamental activities of the day.

Accompanied by Yuslaivys Borges González, Member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party and of the highest authorities of the municipality, Echemendia Manzanares visited the Health Directorate in Morón, where he exchanged with the members of the Rapid Response Detachment about the importance of their actions in the defence of the Socialist Homeland.

The delegation also conversed with the members of the Rapid Response Detachments of the municipal directorates of Commerce and Gastronomy and Education, and in the meetings the Member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party, Yuslaivys Borges González, insisted on the necessity of mobilising immediately upon the call and on the significance of their actions.

The group also moved to Defence Zone 03 and there discussed the composition of the structure and the importance of verifying on the ground the operability of the members in the face of any contingency.

In the conclusions of National Defence Day, the principal results and deficiencies in each of the defence zones of the Morón territory were presented and emphasis was placed on perfecting the work to achieve invulnerability, in the face of the danger represented by imperialism and its new aggressive wave against the countries of Latin America.
