Juan Carlos Alfonso Fraga, deputy head of the National Office of Statistics and Information (ONEI), called for overcoming adversities in order to offer timely and quality information to the authorities and the various users, during the Annual Balance Assembly of the performance of the workers of this entity in the province of Ciego de Avila.

The ONEI deputy chief insisted on the need to be well documented in relation to the content of the Decree-Law on Official Statistics and its Regulations, approved last November 20 in the Council of State.

At the meeting, the main deficiencies were critically analysed, among them the completion of the staffing, of the reserves of the cadre and the preparation of the technical personnel and the consistency of the information.

The meeting highlighted the importance of using tools such as the Integrated Statistical Management System (SIGE) to provide accurate data, essential for making the right decisions for the development of the municipality, the province and the country.

During the Annual Balance Assembly of the performance of the workers of the Provincial Office of Statistics and Information in Ciego de Avila, Juan Carlos Alfonso Fraga, deputy head of the ONEI, called for the implementation of strategies to ensure the reserve of cadres and staff training.
