Radio Morón, one of the most emblematic institutions of the City of the Rooster, has begun installing photovoltaic solar panels with the aim of guaranteeing the continuity of its broadcasts in the face of the recurrent blackouts affecting the territory.

The investment in clean energy will allow for the gradual restoration of radio transmissions, a service long awaited by the municipality’s listening audience, who rely on the station’s signal to stay informed and accompanied amidst the difficulties.

The producers at Radio Morón thus assume a leading role in the defence of everyday life, convinced that, despite the challenges imposed by the economic and energy crisis impacting the country, the main commitment remains to reach every home with the truth and closeness that characterises Cuban radio.

The installation of solar panels not only seeks to mitigate the effects of blackouts on the radio station, but also symbolises the effort of its workers to sustain an essential public service. The initiative reaffirms, in complex times, the will to keep the connection with the audience alive through the sound image.
