The VI Provincial Workshop on cerebrovascular diseases is being held this Friday at the Roberto Rodríguez General Teaching Hospital, in the Avilanian municipality of Morón

Novelties in treatments and surgical procedures for cerebrovascular diseases will be presented at the workshop to optimise the care for patients suffering from these ailments
The most common pathologies are stroke itself, aneurysms, haemorrhages, carotid artery disease, and transient ischaemic attacks, among others, and they are one of the leading causes of disability and mortality worldwide
Neurosciences are specialities with recognised development in the province, where services are available in the hospitals of Ciego de Ávila and Morón.
