As part of the Decide tu juego campaign, of the Youth Network for Life, the courtyard of the Rueda hotel was the ideal setting in the city of Ciego de Ávila for the Adolescent Diary, a new adventure, to be presented with the auspices of Latin Luli’s Production. The activity was undertaken by specialists from the Health Promotion Centre and students from the Pablo Elbio Pérez Cabrera secondary school, on the morning of this Monday.
According to the words of Nathaly Dueñas, psychologist and one of the presenters, the diary is “a very important tool at this time for the adolescent because it is a stage in which it is very difficult to express what we feel; there is a lot of confusion, many doubts; sometimes there is no adequate accompaniment from an adult or a responsible specialist. The diary comes to be like an escape.” For that reason the volume seeks to be something more than that projective technique which in psychology allows for the deep investigation of the individual.
With more than one hundred pages, and structured as a true diary to write experiences and emotions, doubts or fears, joys and dreams, the volume is pleasant to the eye and achieves its initial objective: to be attractive and transmit elegance. Its pages simulate the twelve months of the year and will be sufficient to write everything or almost everything. Also, the adolescent will find inspiring phrases from celebrated, historical personages, like our apostle José Martí, and Nelson Mandela; as well as from important figures of universal sport, science and culture.
