As part of the actions aimed at guaranteeing success in the Bean Planting Campaign, producers in the Avilanian municipality of Morón will begin land preparation at the end of the present month.

Unlike previous years and in anticipation of possible climatic adversities, the peasants and co-operativists of the territory will initiate, via animal traction, the elimination of weeds and the furrowing of the areas.

According to details from agricultural sector managers, in the municipality some 500 hectares must be ready between the months of August and September to begin planting the legume in the month of October.

The same source indicated that given the climatic adversities and limitations of inputs due to the current economic situation the country is experiencing, the correct application of cultural attentions and the use of natural pesticides and fertilisers is decisive.
