Trump Threatens to Attack Iran if it Restores Nuclear Programme

US President Donald Trump declared that if Iran restores its nuclear programme, he will attack the Persian nation again, media reported.

Following a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on the sidelines of that warmongering bloc’s summit in the Dutch city, the American leader emphasised that his country will not allow Tehran to continue enriching uranium, the publication Sputnik specified.

After admitting the Pentagon lacks complete information on damage caused by Washington’s recent bombings of three Iranian nuclear facilities, the ruler also stated that he expects a report from Israel on the matter.

A preliminary US intelligence assessment reveals that recent attacks on Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities have delayed Tehran’s nuclear programme by only a few months, noted the CNN television network.

The entities indicated that the stockpile of enriched uranium was undamaged and that enrichment equipment remained largely intact, despite last week’s incursions against said facilities.

Amid heightened tensions in the Middle East region, the US government yesterday confirmed a ceasefire ending hostilities between Israel and Iran, which lasted 12 days resulting in hundreds dead and thousands injured.

With the truce now in place, it remains to be seen how the situation develops, along with the future of Iran’s peaceful-purpose nuclear programme – which Washington and Tehran had been negotiating until days ago.
