The Cuban patriotic community rejected the inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries that allegedly do not cooperate against terrorism, according to a publication on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The aforementioned statement was made in Nicaragua, a sister country that supports the claim because of the unjust accusation and its profoundly political nature against the government of the largest of the Antilles.
According to the publication, the statement recalls that since the triumph of the Revolution in 1959, Cuba has been the constant target of aggressions that have sought to undermine its sovereignty and stability.
Likewise, it denounces, once again, the historical hostility, including acts of sabotage, destabilisation attempts and the prolonged economic blockade, clear evidence that the Caribbean nation has been (and is) a victim of terrorism, not a promoter, as it is claimed.
This gesture of solidarity represents a response to the new manoeuvre against Cuba, a fact that mobilised the patriotic community in Nicaragua to reaffirm its commitment to continue fighting for the homeland and the Cuban people.
With the phrases Down with the blockade and Long live socialist Cuba, this message of resistance and conviction concludes, a declaration of the will to continue defending the Cuban socialist project and highlights the international solidarity between nations that oppose interference and external pressures.
