Cuba and India recognise potential for strengthening bilateral cooperation

Eduardo Martinez Diaz, Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba, and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India, today recognised the great potential for further strengthening cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of health.

Martínez Díaz said in his X account that in a meeting with Jaishankar in New Delhi, the Indian capital, they highlighted the good state of relations between the two nations, established 65 years ago.

«I met with @DrSJaishankar, Foreign Minister of #India. We highlighted the good state of relations between the two countries and agreed on the existence of great potentialities to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation».

On the same social network, the Indian foreign minister highlighted the exchange held with the Cuban deputy prime minister, with whom he discussed mutual cooperation for development, especially in health and traditional medicine.

«#Raisina2025 provided an opportunity to meet DPM @EdMartDiaz of Cuba. Our development cooperation, especially in health and traditional medicine, was discussed».

Cuba’s deputy prime minister arrived in India on Sunday at the head of a delegation to participate in the Raisina Dialogue, the Asian country’s premier forum on geopolitics and geo-economics, and the 10th India-Latin America and Caribbean Conclave.
