It will start on the 12th and 13th of December, and the topics will analyse important matters of the nation’s socioeconomic and political life.
With the objective of evaluating the actions the country is taking in the face of the immense challenges we confront, the Party’s highest leadership body between Congresses convenes, for the 12th and 13th of December, its XI Plenum, in which important matters of the nation’s socioeconomic and political life will be analysed.
The XI Plenum will evaluate the implementation of the Government Programme to correct distortions and reinvigorate the economy, which has been submitted for study and debate from 15 November to 30 December. It will also analyse the economic objectives and goals for 2026 and the proposed State Budget for the coming year.
The members of the Central Committee will also exchange views on the damages caused by Hurricane Melissa and the progress of the recovery in the eastern provinces, as well as the situation regarding the impacts of previous natural events.
As has been customary in these meetings, the Political Bureau will report on its work and inform on the principal decisions taken during this stage, amidst the organisational process for the IX Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, scheduled for 16 to 19 April 2026, the year in which we will celebrate the centenary of the Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
