In community activities, the Association of Cuban Pedagogues (APC) in Ciego de Avila will proceed, during this week, to the presentation of special recognitions to a group of 14 prestigious educators from the municipality of Morón, who will receive in their residences the «Joya de la Pedagogía Avileña» (Jewel of Avileña Pedagogy) plaque.

The deserving recipients of the recognition accumulate a relevant pedagogical trajectory in Educational Institutions or as outstanding cadres of that organism, as professors in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, the Municipal University Centre and others in retirement.

Magaly Domínguez Pedroso, from the management of the Association of Pedagogues in Morón, informed that the distinction is awarded annually to true jewels of pedagogy, after studying in depth their work histories as members of this association.

Among the members of the APC who will receive the distinction is Dr. Claudio Pablo Cordero Jiménez, Second Degree Specialist in General Surgery, Master in Medical Emergencies and Consulting Professor, who has successfully completed several international missions in Angola, Gambia and Cape Verde, among other important moments in his professional career, where he also worked as a teacher.
