The classroom doors open in Morón municipality with the official inauguration of the new school year at the «Mártires de Granada» Primary School, in a celebration accentuated by songs, poetry, dances and the talent of the youngest generation as a special gift to Fidel.

Yoleisy Valdés Santiago, General Director of Education in Morón, in her inaugural speech pointed out that this new school year has been planned with the indestructible commitment of educators, united with the decisive support of the family and the enthusiasm of the students.

Valdés Santiago emphasised strategic priorities such as: The transformation of educational, political and ideological work and of confronting cultural colonisation. Methodological work and the emergency completion of the workforce as well as continuing the implementation of the 3rd improvement of the educational system.

Towards the end of her address, she calls on educators for ethics, dedication and love, points out to families the alliance with the school to form the new generations and asks the students, who are the reason for it all, that discipline and study be the fundamental duty.

The ceremony for the start of the school year in the City of the Rooster was presided over by Alexey Ojeda García, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party in Ciego de Avila, Raidel Arenas Pérez member of the Municipal Bureau of the party in Morón and Celia María López Reyes, President of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power.
