With the integration of 1,566 students from Pre-university and Professional Technical Education Centres into the Scientific Associations, the municipality of Morón in Avila shows a notable strengthening of this modality, with the identification, at the same time, of themes in each group.
Alfredo Varona Yedra, head of this level of education at the General Directorate of Education in Morón, explained that 715 students from the pre-university centres have joined, while 851 belong to the Technical Professional Education.
He added that in each of the educational institutions the Student Science Leaders have been identified, and progress is being made to ensure that each student selects a subject to join, so that each of the groups created will constitute a new scientific society, which can be joined by a parent, teacher or scientist from the territory.
Varona Yedra also informed that the aim is to have a weekly class session for the work of the scientific associations, which will be led by the leading researcher of each group, who will have the tools to fulfil his or her role.
Morón is accelerating the pace in this objective, in view of the proximity of the provincial event of Scientific Associations, to be held in the first half of April.
