Important actions that will contribute to the evacuation of wastewater and greater efficiency in the city’s drainage are being undertaken in Morón’s sewerage system, in view of the approaching cyclonic season, which may bring heavy rains associated with meteorological phenomena.
The most complex work is being carried out in the Villamil district, in the northeast of the city, where heavy equipment from the Héroes de Cuito Cuanavale contingent, such as backhoes, are digging holes in the streets, where high-density pipes are being laid to evacuate wastewater.
Forces from the Aqueduct and Sewerage Department in Morón are tackling this reconnection task, with actions that will be extended to other streets in the Villamil district, with deterioration of the system’s network, all of which will prevent the overflow of sewage water that affects social coexistence.
Celia María López Reyes, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in Morón, specified that, at the same time, work is being carried out to set up the re-pumping station located in Gonzalo Marín street, where qualified forces from the Hydraulic Resources are intervening.
At the same time, work is being carried out on unblocking, shading and maintenance of water networks in the Libertad and Padre Cano Streets quadrant.
