Within the framework of the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, taking place from today in Geneva, Switzerland, the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Tulia Ackson, received Esteban Lazo, President of Cuba’s National Assembly of People’s Power.

As reported by the Cuban legislature on social media platform X, the senior IPU official welcomed the also President of the Council of State upon his arrival at the Conference venue, the Palace of Nations. Lazo is participating this Tuesday in the General Debate, and is scheduled to speak in panels and other forums of the event, which will run until 31 October.

According to information provided by the National Assembly of People’s Power, the President of the Cuban Parliament will also hold bilateral meetings with parliamentary leaders from various nations, among other activities.
