Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Relations, affirmed today that reason, International Law and the patriotic spirit of a people are on Cuba’s side, which for 67 years has resisted the force and aggression of the United States.
On X the foreign minister highlighted that Washington counts on its colossal military might and the dimensions of its economy, plus a vast experience of aggression and crimes. Its pretensions, he said, are directed at imposing its will over the rights of sovereign States.
Rodríguez Parrilla underlined that Cubans are not willing to sell the country nor yield to threat and blackmail, nor to renounce the inalienable prerogative with which they built their own destiny, in peace with the rest of the world.
«We will defend Cuba. Those who know us know it is a firm, categorical and demonstrated commitment,» he emphasised.
Recently, the Cuban foreign minister rejected the current United States administration’s pretension to impose instruments of domination that treat Latin America and the Caribbean as Washington’s backyard.
Regarding the military aggression of the past 3rd of January against Venezuela, Rodríguez Parrilla alerted the CELAC about the reapplication of the Monroe Doctrine, which assigns the entire American continent to the United States, and which has served them to justify various military interventions in the region.
