Dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, the Provincial Event for the Forty-Second Anniversary of the founding of the Family Doctor and Nurse Programme was held in the Avilanian municipality of Morón.

The gathering was presided over by Alberto Echemendia Manzanares, First Secretary of the Party in the City of the Rooster and Doctor Kesnel Lima Ruiz, General Director of Health in Ciego de Ávila and counted with the attendance of representatives from the sector across the entire province.

During the activity, Doctor Belkys Chávez Fernández, General Director of Health in the Morón territory expressed the solidarity of the professionals in the branch with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and condemned the kidnapping by the United States of the Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros and his wife Cilia Flores.

The occasion was opportune for the presentation of the Recognition to the municipality of Morón, as the most outstanding in the Family Doctor and Nurse Programme, as well as to a group of founders of the Programme in the province.

In the conclusions of the Event, Doctor Kesnel Lima Ruiz, General Director of Health in Ciego de Ávila referred to the important results of the Family Doctor and Nurse Programme in the Avilanian province and affirmed the commitment to continue working to improve the health indicators of the population.
