Morales Ojeda: In April, a Call to Keep the History of Struggle Alive

Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Politburo and Organisation Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee, highlighted today on his Facebook profile that «this week, as April begins, the call to combat memory and to keep our history of struggle alive is reborn.»

The leader noted that in the current context of economic challenges and the tightening of the blockade, April takes on greater significance as it is considered the month of pioneers and young people, convinced that the defence of the homeland is also a generational task.

Morales Ojeda recalled that April is the month of the victory at Playa Girón, the first major defeat of imperialism in Latin America, an event that sealed the socialist character of the Revolution.

He stressed that days of reaffirmation and patriotism, of intense work and the battle of ideas, are expected, in which unity will be decisive in any circumstance.

Once again, April will be a month of overcome challenges and of unity, affirmed the leader.
