Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organisation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), arrived today in Venezuela for a working visit, following an invitation from the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

Monitoring the implementation of the exchange and cooperation agreement signed between both political formations and consolidating bilateral relations in different spheres are among the main objectives of this visit, stated Morales Ojeda on X.

According to the Cuban party leader, his trip to Venezuela is also an expression of solidarity with its people and its president, Nicolás Maduro.

«In the face of the new imperial onslaught against the land of Bolívar and Chávez, we must today say with Martí: “Give me Venezuela in which to serve her”», wrote Morales Ojeda on his official account.

In August 2023, the PCC and the PSUV signed collaboration agreements which, according to authorities from both sides, institutionalise a willingness for closer ties on matters relating to the preparation of cadres and joint work.

Diosdado Cabello, then First Vice President of the PSUV, stated that the agreed documents enhance the commitment to integration between the two countries and to taking the message of Cuba and Venezuela to the world under a single flag.
