The 5th International Congress JurisCuba 2026 will open its doors today at the Havana Convention Palace as a privileged space for reflection and debate on the major legal challenges of the present.

Under the motto: «Legal Culture as a Guarantee of Constitutional Rights,» the event, convened by the Ministry of Justice, will address among its central themes Legal Advice and Normative Creation, Registry and Notary Law, digital transformation and the use of Artificial Intelligence in the sector’s activity, and the role of Law in the «Zero Tolerance» policy towards drugs.

The gathering will begin with the lecture «The Thought of the Commander in Chief as a Synthesis of the Ideology of the Cuban Revolution,» delivered by René González Barrios, director of the Fidel Castro Ruz Centre, as a reminder of the conclave’s dedication to the centenary of the revolutionary leader’s birth.

The Congress, which will extend until 5 February, gains greater relevance at a time when the Greater of the Antilles is developing an extensive legislative schedule and, with the participation of specialists of various nationalities, reaffirms the response of jurists from around the world to the intensification of the economic siege policy applied by the United States Government against the Caribbean archipelago.
