The Bolivarian Revolution prepares to defend its national sovereignty

The Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution, led by President Nicolás Maduro, can count on «all the solidarity and support of Cuba,» stated on X the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

«The strength of the Civic-Military Union in Venezuela will defeat the imperialist threats and the current attempts to sabotage the country’s development,» he further emphasised, just as the South American nation actively prepares to defend sovereignty and repel the threat represented by the US military deployment in the southern Caribbean Sea.

Precisely, this weekend was marked by two days of readiness for national defence, when thousands of citizens went to the Bolívar squares throughout the country to register for the Bolivarian Militia, the fifth component of the Bolivarian National Armed Force, comprised of civilian reservists.

The mass participation in this action constitutes a united response from the people to the recent accusations by the US Government which, without proof, accused Maduro of being the head of narcoterrorism in that country.

For his part, the Venezuelan head of state called for new readiness days on the upcoming 29th and 30th August, thus materialising the constitutional principle between the State and society in the comprehensive defence of the country’s security.
