The Provincial Bureau of the Food and Fishing Industry Union and its cadres are participating in the preparation process projected by the Organisation sphere of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba in the territory.
The principal objective is to strengthen the capacities of the base union leaders in the preparation of the Potentials for the year 2026, a key instrument for the planning and development of the workers’ movement in Ciego de Ávila.
This workshop forms part of the directives established in the exit records 064, of 21st October 2025, which emphasises the importance of an efficient management committed to the workers.
Yunier Sarmiento Segura, General Secretary of the Provincial Bureau of the Food and Fishing Union in Ciego de Ávila, informed that the meeting reflects the will to update the working methods and guarantee a greater participation of the members.
The debates focus on the efficient use of digital platforms in their collection management in the state sector form and in the new actors of the economy.
This initiative demonstrates the commitment of the Cuban unions with the constant preparation of their cadres, ensuring that the working class is up to the challenges imposed by national development.
The results of these workshops will be fundamental for drawing up concrete actions for the well-being of the workers, all committed to the principles of the Revolution and the legacy of Fidel Castro in the defence of labour rights. (Author Odelaisy García Caveda)
